Frankel captured 95% of the vote to do in the Horse of the Series poll what he did so regularly in his races – win with consummate ease.
The Prince Khalid Abdulla-owned colt, who won all 14 of his career races including nine in the QIPCO British Champions Series, is now at stud and the accolades will continue for some time yet.
Last week he was crowned the Cartier Horse of the Year, now he is the Horse of the QIPCO British Champions Series.
The big one may come in January, however, when the final decision is made on his official rating by the world’s handicappers. Can he match or eclipse Dancing Brave’s 141?
He is currently rated 140, but in recent seasons the world’s best horse has had his rating increased at the end of the year as a reflection of other results.
In the QIPCO British Champions Series poll, Frankel’s 95% left Camelot with just 3% of the vote and Excelebration with 2%.
And the winner of two tickets for QIPCO British Champions Day 2013 is Rory Lord, who also wins a QIPCO British Champions Series cap.
