Bocca Baciata is on course for another tilt at the Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes at Ascot on October 15.

The Jessica Harrington-trained filly finished fifth to Simple Verse in last year’s renewal on Champions Day.

Harrington says Bocca Baciata should be excused her latest effort, when finishing last in the Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville last month.

Harrington told the Irish Times: “She didn’t travel well to France last time so we’re not going to go further (than England). She wasn’t herself.

“So, all being well, she’ll go to Ascot for the Fillies & Mares over a mile and a half.

“She’s won a Group Two, a Group Three and a Listed (race), so it would obviously be nice to get a Group One.”
