Highland Reel is among several stars of the QIPCO British Champions Series who could feature at the Longines Hong Kong International Races on December 10.

The Aidan O’Brien-trained five-year-old, who has three wins in the Champions Series to his name, is set for a third tilt at the Vase on what will be his final race before being retired to stud.

Highland Reel won the Vase 2015 and was second in last year’s running. He was third behind Talismanic, trained by Andre Fabre, in the Breeders’ Cup Turf at Del Mar this month and is likely to meet that rival again.

Poet’s Word, runner-up to Cracksman in the QIPCO Champion Stakes, and Blond Me, who was second to Winter in the Qatar Nassau Stakes, are others who will form a formidable raiding party.

The Tin Man, winner of the Diamond Jubilee Stakes this year, is in line to run in the Sprint, along with Signs Of Blessing.

Roly Poly’s exploits this year have included winning the Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes and Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes, and she is in line to contest the Mile.

Her opponents could include Librisa Breeze, who scooped the QIPCO British Champions Sprint on Champions Day at Ascot last month.
