John Gosden's wondermare lands an historic third King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot

Enable created yet more history as she became the first horse to win three King George VI and Queen Elizabeth QIPCO Stakes on Saturday.

The ‘Queen Of Racing’ had no issue dispatching the only two rivals who lined up against her, Japan and Sovereign, with relative ease.

With a select field of three it was up to Sovereign to set the pace, going on ahead three to four lengths in the opening exchanges. The writing was on the wall for him early doors however as push came to shove on the pace setter rounding the turn.

Japan was the next one to come off the bit and was making heavy weather of closing the gap in stark contrast to Enable who cruised to join the leader. Jockey Frankie Dettori even had time to to take a look around before pushing the button on the six-year-old mare.

It was then all about Enable showing the zest and turn of foot that has made her such a household name in the sport sprinting clear in impressive fashion.
