Aidan O’Brien’s chestnut filly fulfilled all her early promise and breeding by landing the trainer’s sixth QIPCO 1000 Guineas.
In running Love was always prominent, choosing to race on the outside throughout the early stages. It was almost four in a line two furlongs out with Love, Final Song, Quadrilateral and Cloak Of Spirits seemingly having it between them. It was Love however who began to power her way to the front when asked for extra effort by Ryan Moore, eventually scoring by four-and-a-quarter lengths.
After the race Ryan Moore told ITV, “She’s a very uncomplicated filly We’ve always thought an awful lot of her…She’s a typical Galileo filly. She was in control of the race from a long way out and won as she liked really.”
