It’s fair to say that Cieren Fallon Jr. comes from good racing stock. His father, Kieren Fallon was a multiple Group 1 winner and six-time Champion jockey.
However that status that comes with the Fallon name has certainly not had any negative impact on Fallon Jr. in the early stages of his career.
In 2019 Fallon Jr. was crowned Champion Apprentice at QIPCO British Champions Day alongside that year’s Champion Jockey, Oisin Murphy. Fallon Jr. was unstoppable in the apprentice race and cemented his name as part of the Fallon legacy.
In 2020 Fallon Jr. continued his rise up through the ranks by securing his first Group 1 win, and Series win, aboard the Roger Teal-trained Oxted in the Darley July Cup. The pair were prominent throughout and the result never looked in doubt.
Wining the race was something Fallon Jr.’s father never achieved and was the first step on the ladder of a promising career.
